Incorrect markup
Has anyone bothered to run a check of the html validity churned at devshed? There's probably 500 violations. As an open source site (with loadsa geeks/gurus) there should be zilch (0)

actually, chief, VB by default DOES validate, surprisingly. It's the large number of hacks we have here that causes the problems.

And I know it validates by default because i tested it on a vb i admin

Not a priority, and never will be, So long as our sites look solid in IE and Moz we are happy. With all the custom stuff we have going on behind the scenes our code will NEVER html validate.

And Opera? It looks fine at the minute, but i'd hate to think it broke in one of the `big 3` browsers, especially my favourite one

Hmmm... Most of the errors are unclosed tags/missing attributes
and the like - that doesn't seem to have anything to with any of
the hacks...

well the default vB skin with no hacks etc. validates. Perhaps it's the skin, perhaps it's that i didn't have any images etc. on the pages i validated.
