Is anyone else having this problem with Devshed?
When I make a post (new, reply, or edit), the text areas come up but the page isn't quite finished yet... I start typing and when the page finishes loading, the focus is taken away from what I was typing, so I have to click back on my text to start typing again...

This only started happening since I've been back from vacation, it didn't do that before...

is it just me, is there something I can do (besides live with it or wait til the page finishes loading)...

Yep. One suggestion is that you could stop using IE... that'd help you with a lot of things, probably.

Hmm... haven't noticed it, but I think by the time I'm ready to type in the box the page has fully loaded. I'm on my office's connection so pages tend to load very quickly.

I'm sure this site is virtual hell for dialup people. It times out almost every time I post. Lots of "There appears to be a duplicate post on this thread..." messages come up for me during the day. Godo thing vB is smart and filters this, otherwise I'd be double posting all over and y'all'd hate me..

Be like: "shedder1: Dude, it's that double post guy. shedder2: Yeah, what's his deal? shedder1: I dunno - de-rep him with me. shedder2: Yeah, what a turd."

Thanks...

My ISP is in the same building as me... they brought in 4 fiber cables, and threw cat5 over the wall from my router to theirs for my connection... connection speed shouldn't be an issue.

Happens to me too often. And if I hit back-space while it's loading, I go back a page.

damn it, DAMN IT, damn it.... it keeps doing it... I've tried going to the lowest level editor too (I've never used the WSYWIG editor)...

It never did this before... what the hell changed...

I get the same problem in all browsers, and it is quite annoying. I also agree about the long load times but it seems to be down to the dev shed servers as while I am on a flat 1.2mb/s I only ever seem to get 33KB/s max when a page is loading....

With the losing focus issue, can someone put together a step by step issue and report it at www.developershed.com/esupport and we will take a look at it. Make sure you state your os and browser, remember we dont/cant code for all browsers all os's so the best we can do is to try to find some kind of happy medium.
