Is there a way to make a certain thread disappear from the thread list?
Kind of like setting a person on ignore, is there a way to set a thread on ignore? There's a thread or two that keep jumping back up that I don't like...
Just wondering.

Now there's an idea. I'd also like to ask what happened to outhouse flushing.

Hmm, no such thing? Maybe someone can throw this into the suggestions box? Should be very easy to implement [about as hard as ignoring a user, which can't be to hard, can it?]

Yea, I thought about requesting that awhile ago. I dont care to see the "Beautiful Game" thread popup every other day.

First, it will keep coming back, clicking once won't help. Second, I don't care to see it at all, clicking it un-bolds it but it still remains listed. |

Ah, mis-read.
Well, your argument is "just don't pay attention". However, why, then, can we ignore users? The same concept can be applied, yet chief prefers to not even see my posts, just as I prefer to not see the beautiful game thread. So, why not? |

I'm sure it is possible. But the demand vs. implementation hassle probably isn't a winning ratio... On the other hand, how much is it worth to you? Lay enough cash-ola on Jcaputo, maybe he'll see things your way!

Because users can jump into any thread at all and post. If that user starts a thread, people who don't want to see it can ignore it, but it's not so easy when they just post in the middle of other threads. When you're talking about ignoring whole threads, however, it's assumed that if you can't determine from the poster or the title if you want to ignore it, then you'll have to read it, and if you've read it once and decided you don't care for it, it's not that hard to just not come back to it. |
