how do you apply to be a mod?

im a better asset to any forum as a mod that a tech-bod.

Truthfully look at your account. You have to prove yourself worthy to be a mod. Just keep answering questions and getting your name up there and then maybe you will be considered for the spot.

Honestly why would you want to be a mod? They are like the policeman of this forum. I would just do what you are doing and enjoy being out of the spotlight. Personally I wanted to be a mod on here, but now, nah it's all good. I like just being a member. It's fun.

Also, you are a bit cocky saying:

I mean honestly, you have 282 posts and 5 rep. Not exactly a heavy hitter. Just my opinion. I value your posts, but not to the point that I value a mods.

Just in case people think I was being harsh. I'd like to clarify.
According to your post history you've been mostly in the C, PHP, and Javascript forums. There's like 60 more. So right there that knocks out any forum. Maybe it's just me, and my opinion probably counts for didly since I'm not a mod, but I would figure that a good mod would have some familiarity with the content of the forum he was modding and with the users who frequent that forum. But hey, maybe the admins will feel differently. Good luck.

We certainly do appreciate the members here, the ones that post answers and genuinely want to help. Do you think that mods stop doing that? They need to do that even more. Mod's are tech-bods x2.

If you really want to become a mod, submit a ticket through eSupport and ask nicely, and hope the admins take you as seriously as you do.

Doesn't that make his point correct, though . He's of more use as a mod, especially where he isn't claiming any technical knowledge.

He's only volunteering to help. I say lay off a little.

Thanks for your interest in becoming a Mod though. I think we currently have enough moderators here but, if you want, you can still send a ticket (low priority) to the admins via the link Cybersaga posted above, but I think it may be a while before an opening comes up.

upon and voted for by the other mods in the mod forum. To be
honest, you have been here for quite a while, but you have not
really contributed enough to be considered just yet, IMO.

If 'being appreciated' to you means becoming a mod, you are
gonna be disappionted.
