Thread sponsorship across the fora, like the home of this
If the one thread were picked up as a phantom in each site, and could be updated from each site, meanwhile actually updating a sort of common shoutbox. But instead of just the regular revenue ... Just a thought

So, when someone sponsors a specific thread (the "sponsored by" box at the top of the thread), they could pay extra to have that thread showing in all four active forums?
Wow, all I can think is it'll take a hell of a coding session to get the databases linked together for that.

It doesn't need to be housed by vBulletin directly.
If a redirect/something could be used to wrap the particular forums skin around a completely seperate entity. There's no point in syncing databases, just some sort of placeholder that will refresh to the 'externally hosted thread'. It's just an idea, ...
