Outhousing.

I know it's new, and I really like the general idea of the outhouse; but I don't like the fact that good discussions were moved from The Lounge, into the outhouse - whilst crap discussions were left in the lounge. There is no distinction between the two, other than what maybe 1 mod at a time may consider trolling is moved to the Outhouse. More worthwhile conversations should stay in the Lounge in my opinion.

So, rather than that "1 mod", who do you recommend to determine what a "crap" discussion is?

I don't know, that's not up to me. All I'm saying is that there were genuinely interesting conversations going on, and just because they had a political tone, were moved to the Outhouse,which as Wiggum said is the place for flaming and pointless trolling.

I don't think we've settled on what is lounge and what is crap yet , so give it a week or so to sort out, some of the threads moved IMO should have stayed in the lounge but I'm not a mod of either of those areas

I can't agree, because I've been too willy-nilly with my rep handouts!

what viper says is true.. we haven't really decided what goes where but we'll just give it a run around over the next few weeks and see.. We can always move threads back in case a genuine mistake has been made.

The whole point of the outhouse was to allow members to have discussions on anything without bothering other members. The threads wont be around forever so there is no problem of post count, the posts get wiped , so no flames left lying around for all to see, and the best part is that tech. and tech oriented discussions can stay in the lounge and people who feel inclined to talk about broader topics can do so in the outhouse.

Ok, sounds good I probably jumped the gun anyhoo.
