PM character limit
I'd never noticed it before, is it new?

I've had a few times now I've had to cut quotes out of messages and split them into multiple messages which is getting rather irritating. Is there any way you could please increase the limit? It's especially irritating because sending the next of the split messages naturally incurs the 60-second spam-stop wait.

What is the limit over here? I've never noticed it before.

On ASP Free the limit was 1000; and I, like yourself, got annoyed
about having to send multiple messages [don't think I had a 60 wait
though,] but I submitted a ticket and got it upped to 2000.

It's 2000 characters. The problem is that I got a PM off dotan which in itself was about 1000 characters. I tried to send a pm to him, including his quotes, which came to over 5000 characters. So I cut out quotes to bring it down to 4000 and something. then i reworded things to get it under 4000 before i could split it into 2.

Really really annoying.

It shouldn't be a necessity to divulge my email address just to send a couple of messages to someone on a site...

No doubt the email-through-board function is also character limited...
