Recognising the OP of a thread
Many times I feel that threads go off topic because someone posts something irrelevant and others answer him, thinking that he is the OP. Maybe if the OP's username was highlighted in each post he makes, then this confusion could be avoided.

Too bad that wasn't a real site. I got all excited and gooey just thinking about it. Is that why you were banned for a month from the internet?
By the way, that could also be ExpertsExchange. |

Hmm. I like the idea somewhat, dotancohen; but I honestly I think that would cause more trouble than it's worth to implement. As this is supposed to be a helpful support community, I generally have no problem with threads going on a tangent if the tangent is related to the orignal topic and the posters are behaving themselves.
Once it starts getting very off-topic though, or if people start misbehaving, please don't hesitate to hit that "Report bad post" icon in the corner, so that the moderators of that forum can take care of it (splitting, moving, and/or locking as needed, et al.)
