Rep edits

I'm not sure whether this may been posted up here before, but I'm posting it anyways. Can you add a function to edit the reputation we give out? (message, points, etc.)

Occasionally I make mistakes on points and the comments inside it, and yeah. Although indefinite would be my pick, I guess 30 day limit could work on this too.

Not really. I didn't think about it when I posted this, but I could have. Anyway, I thought editting would be nice for reps. Not because I put my names there.

The only reason I ever edit my posts is when after posting I realize there's a spelling or grammar mistake. I never change the content. Think before you act, FFS. You don't edit letters to people once you've already sent them, do you? Or send people email amendments? What about IM? Do you feel the urge to edit your instant messages as well? An internet forum is no different.

Calm down. What is content? As I pointed out before, is signature an essential part of the post that it is considered "content" of a post? When the hell did I say I'll start editting what I wrote? Did I say anything to you that personally offended you? Why are you so concerned about this? Is editting the signature going to affect you in some way?

What's this got to do with signatures?

The admins have already been asked if they can set up an editing
system for rep, and it's not gonna happen.

I wonder too. That was just a reply to BeetleJuice's post.

Why not?

I beg to differ. An internet forum is significantly different. When you send a letter, email or IM you no longer have access to it. Postings on an internet forum reside on servers and remain accessible.

I see. They should have implemented in it when it was created. How are the rep points stored anyways?

Actually I think the mods should be able to edit the text in rep comments.. not the points but just the comment. Why ? moderator reasons... no reason to delete a perfectly good post just coz some a*s has left a booger of a comment.

heheh it might be fun to create a thread somewhere which has got "Dictionary's" old user name, and the initials of his name he want to hide ... would piss him off no end i presume...and hence forth that thread could document every name change he attempts...

I just kid mate.. i had to get in a little on the fun
