"Report Bad Post" Wording Correction
In this thread, Guelphdad mentions that he was not sure that reporting the post to ask that it be moved was the proper thing to do, as the text beneath textbox where the user should input the reason for the post's reporting explicitly states:
Quote:
I ask that this be modified to include wording about misplaced posts, so that other users do not get confused as well. Perhaps the following would be appropriate: Quote:

I also have a problem with the 2 per day limit, since it's common that i have to report 3 or 4 posts on a day (when they come, they appear to come in bulk...). I know it's there to stop report spam, but that could possibly be achieved with 1 per 10 minutes or something.

I would imagine that would be enough to enable all report-worthy posts to be reported by somebody.

I suppose it depends on which forums you surf. 2 a day is okay if like me you surf the outhouse/lounge/linux forums. 5 a day might not be okay for someone who surfs the likes of the help wanted forums/webhosting where the nature of the forum invites spammers. Like LinuxPenguin pointed out about some dude making a request contrary to something else he had posted earlier. |

If you can't report a post, just PM or email one of the forum mods
directly and we'll get it sorted.

Yeah, but then there's the problem of timescale.
If it's a forum you mod, there'd be no issue, but say it's a toss up Between SammyK and Nigel, neither are typically available most of the time. |

I doubt there's any difference in it at all. I think it's safe to say that
we all have notification on for PMs, right? So whether you report the post or send PMs, we're still just gonna find out about it via email. |
