Reputation Blob Value Changed
with reference to the thread of the same name in 'Forum Announcements' : i don't have a problem with the changed reputation blob values, what i do have a problem with is the military style rank names
i've been in the army (national service, not of my own choice) and i really don't want to go there again, not even in spirit - after all, dev shed is not run by the salvation army, is it ? or is it ? |

sally army, no, I refer you to "sticks and stones" ....
It's not like anyone can command you to do anything, google 'nomenclature' eat more vegetables, stay off proteins [after consultation with your physician] it's a giggle [i'm not qualified to give dietary advice, you have been warned] do an engineering thang, build a bridge and get the F**k over it (in the nicest possible way imaginable*) * does not preclude the use of someone else's imagination

Anyways, two words: Who cares?

Doesn't bother me. Is a huge step up from what I really was and only just wish I got the salary associated with a Lieutenant Colonel !

Ok, how does this work ...? If I hover the mouse pointer over, say, LinuxPenguin's little row of green blobs I see "rank is Major (30000 - 40000 Reputation Level)", but can see he has 4,773 posts and a reputation of 336 (so actual rep of around 10 x that). So, what exactly is it based on?
