Ruby forum
i'm sure this has been discussed before but not completely.
IIRC correctly, the last time, people suggested using the python forum to discuss ruby issues, which isn't a very good idea considering ruby is quite different from python in the ways it does things and the names of methods etc. I personally think ruby is going to be one of the predominant languages of the future and it would be nice to see devshed embracing it as such. Anyone else want to see one? Could we put a vote about it in the lounge? Thanks --J.

So, why don't you put up a poll in the lounge? I've never come across ruby in my professional life and the only ruby tool I've ever used is PQA a query analisys tool for PostgreSQL, so I don't think there is a need for YetAnotherProgrammingLanguageForum, but who knows ....

I think an "Other Languages" forum is a better idea. If that gets lots of posts for any language, then a specific forum can be made for that language.
Right now those posts tend to end up in Beginner Programming or Software Development. --Simon

YAPLF - to discuss Ruby, Ruby on Rails, ... any other new languages listed in the tag line for the forum
Great idea, Great name, Great Idea ... in that order

I can't add a poll to this thread, but if anyone else wants a ruby forum please respond and if there are enough replies then the admins will look at it.
