but still, abusing a game isn't good thing to do. and that's the point here - not cancel the reputation system or change its goal, just prevent it from being totally abused.

I'd say leave it where it is. Right now it may be a tad "broke", but it's still OK.... resetting it might break it even more....

You can have my blobs when you pry them from my cold dead hands.
![]() Seriously, who cares? I forget how many times I've said this, but if YOU want the system to work, then don't abuse it. If you see someone getting rep. in some way you consider inappropriate, then disagree to average it out. THIS and THIS is the response you should be trying for, not "Simon agrees!" Edit: of course, I may be biased here a little bit. --Simon

"existing wrongs" presupposes it's a big deal in the first place.
Look, if you give crap advice, then that's going to be pointed out to you. It should be fairly obvious to the original poster who to "trust" regardless of number of blobs. If anyone feels like they ever need to hold back and not criticise me because I currently have 40 rep power points, then don't. Correct me. --Simon |

I think it should be made a clean field. Some people find it unfair that they help people yet have very low rep, I find that unfair on them to.
My way of getting around that was giving those people positive rep bandwagons (I recently nominated Tom Myboy and BonRouge you may have noticed) It would be much fairer to those people if the whole thing just got reset and would kill off ridiculous posts aiming for rep too. |

Sheep, the same thing will happen again though. It's a flawed
system. Period. Quit whinging about it.
