Search

I needed to look up an answer, and it took me a reasonably long time to get to the search page. The nice dropdown search on the top right has disappeared, there isn't a link on the front page, and there's no big fuss about it made in the individual forums.

I know it seems just like i'm moaning, but is it any wonder that noone bothers to use the search before blindly posting questions if even when you try to find it, you can't? If more of a fuss were made about it, maybe we could reduce the number of duplicated questions.

Hmmm, it was there yesterday, I think.

It seems to have moved down to the bottom of the page now though.

It's just that if it causes that much effort for me, someone who's prepared to make an effort, then how can we expect newbs too make that effort?

Maybe if on the frontpage where the ad at the top is, there was another box, with a large thing about the search and a form to search in, then perhaps we might get more people using it.

Ill look into getting the search put back into the top breadcrumb so it matches the bottom on Monday
