Spell Checker suggestions
Some suggestions for the spell checker:
1) It would ignore words enclosed in brackets. So that [quote=Arty Ziff] doesn't trigger an error.
2) It would be required for the first 100 posts a new user makes.
3) It would be a regular form button, so that I could get there with the tab key and not need the mouse.
4) It would store a dictionary of user-defined words.
5) It would automatically ban users who say "prolly".

I don't think that's possible at the moment, but moderators can add words to the global word list, so if there are any words that are missing from the spell checker that should be there, just let one of us know and we can add it in.

We are working on changing spell checker functionality, currently working on

Ignore words enclosed in brackets. So that [ quote ]some text[ /quote ] doesn't trigger an error.

Ignore anything enclosed by these tags

  • EMAIL
    URL
    IMG
    PHP
    CODE
    HIGHLIGHT
    QUOTE
    IGREP
    GOOGLE
    PHPNET
    CPAN
    MYSQL
    MEMBER
    PERLDOC
    WIKI

We change spell checker functionality, now it ignore all the words inside vBulletin tags .
