Sudden increase in spam after signing up for devshed?
I seldom use the email address I signed up with here today. Within hours of signing up I am getting all kinds of "random spam", the type with short messages that have no meaning....Is this an isolated case, mabey unrelated or has anyone else knoticed this?

I have not had any problems at all since I've been here. I use a different email address for every web account I have so I know who lost/sold my email; Dev Shed has kept mine private (so far).

Have you turned off the ability for people to email you in your User CP? It's possible somebody has a script running through the boards emailing people.

I've personally had no problems with the specific address I give to each of the sites at the Developershed network. I have actually recieved 'unwanted emails' because of being registered here, but that was due to someone being warned, and replying to the email the warning message. This would only happen to moderators though and is an isolated thing.

I haven't heard of any users recieving spam though, are you sure you haven't posted your email in one of your posts somewhere though?
