"Today's New Threads" and "View Unanswered Threads"
do you think you could maybe add more details to the "Today's New Threads" thing, it used to show the number of replies and the forum its in (though it showed at the bottom of the page), which was useful to find unanswered threads in a forum i might be able to answer as all too often the people can't describe their threads, before i could see that i may be able to answer the thread "Help it stopped working" in the PHP forum with no replies, now i can't tell that its been answered with 20+ replies and is in the Perl forum that i know i can't help with
another thing, the "View Unanswered Threads", it only shows up in the actual forum, where you already have a list of any recent unanswered threads, its actually faster to just scroll the page and look at the replies column (because it causes a new page to load), it would be much more useful if it applied to all of devshed forums where there is no large list of recent or unanswered threads having the "View Unanswered Threads" might be much more useful if you marked it with a class when we get the page and made the link just hide everything on the page that was answered with a little javascript, then it might actually be useful

It won't be as useful to people who are always on the site, but to those that don't visit every minute of the day
then we can see what needs to be answered, for sections like PHP it's quite useful.

Doesn't seem to be working quite right, in the Today's New Threads section is has the Saddam Executed and long thread on devsheds listed as new despite them being quite old.

yea, i thought that too, then i realized that "New" means "just posted to", its not new in the sense that its unanswered, its name should be changed too, but i can't really suggest anything useful ("recent posts" maybe?) |
