At the top of the thread you have created, at the top you will see 'Thread Tools', click on that and then 'Subscribe to Thread'.
Although, if you want to subscribe to every thread you post in, you need to go into your UserCp and then 'Edit Options'. Once in there, scroll down until you see 'Messaging & Notification' you can change your default thread subscription mode.
