my idea was that where it says now :

Ohh, yeah that's what I thought you were talking about.
I am sure they could throw that in pretty easy, most likely just do a limit 5 instead of limit 1 on the latest member via the timestamp. As I imagine that's how VBulliten does it. But then again, I am no admin.  Chad

Moderators have access to lists all the newest members.
TBH, most if not all mods repsond to initial posts with a "Welcome to Dev Shed" message. I think that is more than enough. As to this Quote:
