Page 2 - What happened to my posts?

In one of the London Bombing threads. Right before someone
suggested we make a HOllywood movie out of it.

I'm sure that's already been thought of in SoCal. As was making a mint on the stockmarket by some (don't have link handly, just now). Evil always attracts the sickos and self-servers on all sides. best not to get involved.

I asked for it to be deleted or cleaned up... you know which one is easier...

Yes. The general consensus is that mods would be allowed one other account "to take a break in", anyhow. As I explained in another thread, though, I completely abondoned this account and switched to another at 7000 posts because I wanted to be at more of an even playing field with the new users I was helping out. I did not create it to "troll" (although I did venture into the Lounge, eventually). Once I finished with that account, I abondoned it completely and switched back to this one. There's a big difference there compared to the trolls that register multiple accounts to agree with themselves or get by a temporary ban.

Excuse me? I'm going to try really hard not to curse at you right now because of the new rules, but where do you get off saying that? I've given a lot of time and energy over the past 5 years into keeping these forums running smooth and being enjoyable for everyone. There are users now that contribute far more than I do, though, I'll admit that. Compared to the recent rash of 10-year old kiddies that have rolled through here messing the place up, I am far from the "biggest troll" around.

Stop complaining because you were (arbitrarily, really) one of the users picked to be banned and get back to helping the community.

It seems like there's also a lot of confusion, since we use trolling to describe both trolling and b-con-ing, which in reality are two different things (well kinda )

However, I'm not sure I like the idea of 'set' rules for the lounge. Those that want to break the rules will find a way to break them, better guidelines and mod discretion (and warnings) might be a better way to go.

It takes no further than a trip to ASP free to find a well run lounge, pretty much any topic is allowed, but once it goes too far off topic, or becomes a flamewar it's closed. This allows for the creation of any topic as long as it stays focused, intelligent, and not too emotional.

Although I admit i'm not a mod, and sometimes I give people more credit than I should... but that's just my $.02
