What's up with DevShed servers?

I don't know if you have been getting any feed back on this issue but this web site performance has been crap for awhile and getting consistantly worse. Now to the point of double posts.

No other site I do support at has this lag and performance issues.

Somebody working on this?

Actually we recently made several enhancements to the way mysql does queries and for the last day the forums have been running extremely fast.

From the same laptop connection I go to
Techguy forums
Windows IT mag forums
Computing.net forums
MS technet forums

and ONLY is DevShed the slow to load, respond, timeout issues, etc.

I run into the same issues from my home machine. It's on comcast and work is on dsl.

Jcaputo you might want to check on some wan stats/server saturation stats.
If I am not having a great experience at this end I am sure I am not alone.

Perfect example: my other tab has "page not found" but I see my post posted. I will try deleting my devshed cookies again but it still appears we have a devshed performance issue.

It appears -you- are having a dev shed issue. Pages load fast here, more people online due to enhancements and you will also notice that its just me and you having this conversation..

Ha! I just won 10 bucks. I knew if I posted the fact that no one else complained someone else would jump in within 12 hours of my post to chime in

Also having serious timeout issues with Devshed, and I am on a very very fast connection, no other sites at all are having difficulties, but devshed has had probs for last week or so.

However, I am in Australia, and it is quite likely that a pipe or other server along the hop to devshed is the culprit.

Can I have $10 too? Oh wait, $AU is sort of... well.. about to dominate your $US, so i'll stick with my $10

Hey guys:

We've been doing a lot of different methods to try and counter the issue. So please keep on posting as things occur. Helps us realize if we've made progress or not.

You guys see any flare ups since last week? Our last changes went in on Thursday the 17th. and things seem pretty smooth from our end. Granted, we're so close to the servers we sometimes done even need a browser to get our posts up...we just plug an RJ-45 into our necks.
