Why can't i give reputation points...???

Why can't i give reputation points...???
I've tried giving rep points to users who have helped me but when i check it says i gave 0 points...??? why is that???

Check the top of the Lounge, http://forums.devshed.com/t194545/s.html

You have to be a 100-post 90-day member in order to get your default point of reputation power. After that, all you power points come from your postcount, years registered in the forum, and total rep recieved. Thus, once you hit 100 points, you'll get another rep power point, which would put you at 1, unless you hit the 100-post 90-day mark first, in which case that would give you your first rep power point and hitting 100 rep points recieved would give you your second power point.

Wish I got points that fast. I'm luckly to get one point a week lol. I guess I just gotta work my way into the devshed lounge culture... The PHP/Javascript forums don't generate anywhere near the rep the lounge does.
