what ISP are you on ? airtel ? sancharnet ? either way airtel must route through BSNL right, as the main controller of IS in India ? ... i'm on sancharnet at home and a BSNL leased line at work/college. No issues with devshed for me... maybe its your local network congestion ?

Yeah i use Airtel GPRS Connection. i use my mobile as a modem, Well the problem seems to be solved now. let me tell you i was only able to upload my avatar after my 107th post but in FAQ it is wriiten that only 99 is required. Well i think may be some of my posts were not considered to be counted .. any way the problem got solved now...

Avatars are available after 100 posts, but it's not instant. The script is on a timer, IIRC, so you have to wait until the next time it runs and realizes your over 100 posts. Not sure how often it runs, though...
