    vB default theme?

Is that gone now? I liked it much more than this new(er) theme with its huge font size. I have to zoom out to about 67% to use it.
And it worked better with widescreen monitors because it used the entire width. With this one, pages leave a few inches (depending on the page) unused on the sides.

I don't like the devshed_2014 theme either. The font is too large for me and it has several bugs, which is why I switched to the default vb4 theme in the first place. Want to see what one of them is? Please see the attached screenshot. Notice the word break isn't working correctly when I'm typing my reply. Is there any hope of getting the vb default theme back perchance?

Yes - as I understand it, we noticed some issues with it and are working on correcting them.

Did we have any other issue with vb default, than the missing new-line when writing?

ugh, I absolutely despise this 2014 theme.
I mean its pretty, but, as requinix has mentioned, its layout doesn't make the best use of the page real estate available.

+1 for bringing the vb default theme back [hopefully with rep features added].

Even with its problems, the vb theme is far better than this 2014 theme.

Why remove the vb theme from the production side while working on the fixes in the development side?

Guys, chill about the theme sucking. More and more sites are going for this kind of style, not just the Ninjas. Responsive design crap, blah blah blah. We're tech people and the vB theme is just better suited for us.

Ok! I'm very excited to announce that it's back!

The style switcher should now be displaying at the bottom of each page, as it was before.

You may have to tweak your general settings to make the "vB4 Default Style" the one that appears every time you log in. Here's how to do so:

    1. Go to your User Control Panel
    2. Click on General Settings, located on the sidebar on the left-hand side of the screen, under My Account.
    3. Scroll all the way to the last section, Miscellaneous Options. Or ctrl+f for the words Forum Skin.
    4. Make sure the drop-down box is set to vB4 Default Style, then hit save changes.
    5. When you first pull up the forum homepage from now on, it will be in the new style at first. But as soon as you log in, it should switch to the old style.

Post in this thread or email/PM me if you need technical help!

Thanks to tech for working this one over with a fine-toothed comb!

And thank you all for your patience - I know this was a big loss for the time it was missing.

    Mark,

It's great that we got the theme back, but it still has the same bug that I previously pointed out regarding the formatting of the code which is being altered. When viewed in the "Quick Reply", all line breaks are stripped out. When I switched to the "Advanced" view and re-added the code, the line breaks were retained but the leading spaces were replaced with asterisks, which is not what I wanted.

See my post in this thread.

Hey FishMonger - does that happen on both the old and new styles, or just the old style? I can't manage to replicate it.

    Edit: fixed some wording.

Also - and I apologize if this has been asked before - what operating system and browser are you using when you see the issue?
