    Is the editor here broken?

My sentences don't wrap in the editor window; they just keep going to the right until I hit ENTER. I'm using Windows XP with Google chrome. I've also tried it with Windows 10 and Microsoft's browser with the same unsatisfactory results. Help!

Good to know. Thanks. Maybe when they're in there fixing it, they can make it wysiwyg which would do away with the annoying edit-here-preview-there-come-back-here-to-edit merry go round.

    Thanks for confirming the problem.

I assume you are using the VB4 default template style then? that one has this funny "feature".

You can try the devshed_2014 template if you like the look of that one. It can be changed at the bottom.

Where can it be changed? I don't see it.

It is hard to see - look for "Members who have read this thread," below the quick reply box and near the bottom of this page. You should see a little drop-down box with either "devshed_2014" or "vB4 Default Style" in it (those are the only two options). Change whatever is currently displaying to the other option - that may fix the word-wrap issue!

Alternatively, go here when logged in: http://forums.devshed.com/usercp.php

Look on the left side of the screen for "General Settings" under "My Account." Click general settings, then ctrl+f search for the words: forum skin. You can change the style that way as well. You'll have to hit "save changes" to make the effect actually happen.

It's actually the opposite for me - the new devshed_2014 skin has no word wrap, but the old vB4 default does. The inconsistency is part of why this problem has been so difficult for our tech team to nip, as I understand it.

The editor should work if you change the style to devshed_2014 at the bottom of the page.

Okay, great, I found it and switched it. I'm now in the vB4 default style and things (both quoted paragraphs and my own entries) are wrapping nicely. Much better. Thank you all.

Actually, it was the other way around for me. I was in the devshed_2014 mode and got no word wrap. Now I'm in the vB4 default mode and word wrap is working properly.

Just to keep the other thread about natural language programming neat and on topic, I've moved the threads about this issue (the word wrap) here instead.

    Cheers!

Thanks, I appreciate that. I shouldn't have put it there in the first place.
