Alfa jumps in with Turkcell bid (FT.com)
FT.com - Alfa Group, Russia's leading financial and industrial conglomerate, on Thursday said it has outbid TeliaSonera's $3.1bn offering for a blocking stake in Turkcell, Turkey's largest mobile phone operator, in a move that takes the rivalry between the two companies to a new level.
