AIX xmodmap error

AIX xmodmap error
Hi,

Was wondering if anyone could assist me. I have aix 5.2 instlled on my machine using kde v2. I receiv an error once I su from my personla id to root. The error received is 1356-203 xmodmap: Unable to open display. I have tored to correcte this issue however I can not locate any issue with the way xwindows is set up.

Can anyone assit me in this matter?
