Array variable & c shell

hi...i'm working with c shell and i have a small problem that when i try to read from a file to a list variable, the following message is appear:
"string beginning "118,119,12..." is too long. maximum size is 239 characters."
so what i have to do to increase my array variable size...or is there any other method to read these values to an list variable..with all my thanks
