I've got this in my crontab file:

does your test.php have a
#!/usr/bin/php in the first line (check the correct path via "which php") and permission mode 0755? M.

No, it doesn't have a "shebang" and when I add one like your example it says it's the wrong path or something like that. Strangely enough, "which PHP" returns nothing at all.
