Drawing border
How to draw border in unix??My friend told me to use some ascii code,but i don't quite get it....

depends. if you have a closed group of users and you know which character sets their terminals support, you can use extended ascii characters. then, depending on this info, maybe you can draw rectangular boxes and grids.
if you donīt know, you can only use something like: .ooooooooooooooooooo. | This is inside a border | 'ooooooooooooooooooo' if you assume that they use fixed-character-width font. afaik all terminals do. [edit] as i see now, my browser does not for devshed. would probably look weird anyway, no? [/edit] sorry, nothing else. (unless you use x-terminals )
