Installing programs under UNIX
I am tryign to install audit.024.tar.gz .. i already ungzipped it and everything. I got the files int he directory. When I go to type make to build the files... it jsut says, "make: Command not found" , now I know amke is installed casue this is a university server. any idea?

Are you the admin of that server?
I wouldn't have thought the average student would be allowed "make install" permission for any old package they could download from the internet. > now I know amke is installed casue this is a university server. any idea? Does typing which make find it?

yeh I found the path ( /usr/ccs/bin/make ).. yeh we are allowed to install this program..
