ksh: how to process a file by batch given that each batch is 1kb in size.
this problem is a continuation to the problem that I posted last friday.... the problem that I posted was how to extract the first 8 and last 18 character of each string in a file... but is it possible that when the file that was being processed reaches 1kb it will be put in a separate file.... I mean every file after the process has a maximum size of 1 kb.... pls help... i need it asap.... thanks
