    man page format

can anyone point me to some good articles where i can find out about the UNIX man page format? or is it available in the man pages themselves?

i'm looking to write a man page in a similar style to the bash man page

    thanks

There are a few hundred of these things sitting in /usr/share/man on your system. They will be either gzip'd or bzip2'd. Copy a few of them to your home directory, uncompess them, and have a look at how they're made

i think i read somewhere that the man-pages are in nroff / troff format (+zipped), but this might be wrong...
