Question RDC Client Connection

I am running Solaris 9 and have been using SunPCI Co-Processor cards for a windows environment. The engineers don't want seperate keyboards, etc, so we don't use the external display and do not want to. The SunPCI2 cards have an issue with Office 2003 without the external vga connection.

Therefore I would like to connect to a terminal server using something similar to a windows remote desktop client (f.k.a. terminal client). I found rdesktop and it seems to work really well except the number pad will not function. The arrows work, but not the numbers when I turn on number lock. I also wonder about the ability to hear sound.

Does anyone have another solution. I know that Citrix and NewMoon make add on server software, however I want the solution I use to directly mimic a windows desktop. THis is why terminal server appears a good choice.

Thanks in advance.

The sound issue is resolved as I noticed I can redirect the sound in rdesktop. The only problem is the number pad.

Thanks,
