Reading a file suffix
Hi,
I have nany files in a directory. One of them is file_test_07202003. This file date suffix will be changing all the time. So i need a script or a command which writes the date portion into a variable. Thanks in Advance Sachin

It's also possible with other shells, but I won't write a script for all of them here and now  hth, M.
