Reoccurring cron entry
Anyone know why a crontab entry would reappear after its been removed?
Even tried crontab -r. Solaris 5.8 Ideas or suggestions? |

How about: there is a script with su capability that inserts the job if it's missing?
We had a "system check" routine that made assumptions about what needed to be in cron. |

It does sound that way - if you have root access, you shoule be able to track down the actual users that have cronfiles (I should be able to remember where they exist! - but check man crontab for info). Note what time YOUR cronfile has been changed and see if there is a job that runs at around that time - it'd pretty much have to be a root cron job, or one of your own, purely for permission to update the file.
