samba/winbind/domain help

I am using Solaris 9/Samba 3.0.0/winbind as a member server to a Microsoft domain. The shares on the server authenticate to Microsoft domain groups. I need to change the Samba netbios name by changing the smb.conf (netbios name = oldname to netbios name = newname). What problems am I going to have? Do I need to remove the server from the domain and then add it back in? If so how do I remove it? Any tips/help/insight would be greatly apprectiated. Thanks. Lee
