Symbolic linnks... ew

okay guys. i have this simple assignment to do.

i created a subdirectory under my login directory called alex
i create a file "draft "inside my login directory
i cd to the subdir alex and created a hardlink by typing
ln ../draft letter
i want to create a soft link. so i typed..
ln -s and my absolute path usr/users/cwesterm/draft sletter

my problem is when i wanna view the link it doesnt work. how can i get it to work.

That's not an absolute path. Absolute paths have a leading forward slash. And symbolic links don't have to be absolute.

my teacher says they do. but after reading online ur right they dont. anyways i figured out i was missing the / thanks!
