Unix comments

Hi I’m new to UNIX and would like to share my comments on UNIX.

I find UXIX to be very hard to master if you do not have proper documentation, even with UNIX man command learning it can be very hard. As for the functionality of UNIX, it is one of the best. When compared to Microsoft Windows, UNIX wins on everything except Usability. Even UNIX X-Windows interface doesn’t have the best usability as Microsoft windows does.

The stability power of UNIX is unquestionable when compared to Microsoft Windows. While windows can stay up for awhile, most of the time it requires at least to be rebooted 1 month once. UNIX in the other hand from my experiences and others experience only very occasionally crashes, most of the time because of major hardware failure.

If UNIX does create a really well designed GUI interface I believe UNIX could take over the majority of the OS market.
