I ran a script and it executed fine, but return with error status "-2".
Can anyhelp what error does -2 represents.

The script terminated with either an explicit exit -2 command, or the last command to execute before script completion resulted in an exit code of -2. Most *nix commands use positive exit codes (I was not even aware they could be negative as I had never really needed to care) so I would guess it's an explicit thing done for an express reason. You'd need to look at the script - it may be in clear text as exit -2 or 'obfuscated' by using a variable: exit $RC where the RC variable is given a value of -2 somewhere.
