where can I learn basic commands?

Is there an online list of basic commands? I need to learn how to copy and paste files, moves files, create new directories, etc...very basic things through PuTTY.

I tried looking through the online manuals at Apache's website...but it was more complex stuff than what I want or need to do...

The apache manual is of no use for this. Google for "unix beginners tutorial", eg: http://www.ee.surrey.ac.uk/Teaching/Unix/

hth,
M.
PS: this is not an apache question -> moved to "unix"

Many thanks! That just goes to show how clueless (and in need of help) I am...I didn't even realise it was Unix that I need help with! LOL

Again, thank you!
