    Question crontab not working

    I've got this in my crontab file:
    55 * * * * /home/www/web185/html/test.php
    Now, shouldn't this execute "test.php" every hour, for example 17:55, 18:55, 19:55 and so on, or am I doing something wrong?

    "test.php" creates a folder named with the current date and time, and when I execute it from the web, it works perfectly, but nothing happens with the crontab.

    EDIT: My site is actually on a Linux server, so feel free to move this thread.

    does your test.php have a
    #!/usr/bin/php
    in the first line (check the correct path via "which php") and permission mode 0755?

    No, it doesn't have a "shebang" and when I add one like your example it says it's the wrong path or something like that. Strangely enough, "which PHP" returns nothing at all.
