Question Active X and MS Excel Solver Add in

I am trying to solve a three variable equation (Gaussian curve) in Vb. I have been able to do it using 3 "for loops" (extremely, painfully slow). I am looking to speed things up with Excel. I am trying to incorporate Excel's Solver add in for my program but do not know if it is possible to do or even how to do it. I am able to use active X to get my data onto the excel environment but that's it. Any help on this is appreciated. If anyone has any other ideas on how to solve a three variable equation with VB I am all ears.

    Thanks

You could try the algorithms forum on this site.
There may already be a solution in there.

what do you eman by "solve a 3 variable equation"?
    can you elaborate...

i don't think solver doesn't anything more complicated than an iterated linear interpolation / extrapolation
