Adding database connections to mySQL in vs.NET
Hi Guys,
Im hoping you can help. I'm trying to develop a little .exe that opens connections to a mysql database and run queries.
I found out last night that if i use the sever extensions->add connection tool to connect to mysql (through using odbc drivers) I get the following message:
Unable to connect to database. It is only possible to connect to SQL Server Desktop Engine Databases and Microsoft Access Databases with this version of Visual Studio.
So, my question - can you think of a work around, and if not, any ideas which version I should be using?
Im not stupid, but i feel like a ****head since Bill Gates & Co (tm) have yet again screwed over the market and are currently laughing their way to the bank with my money..
