display DOS message

Hello, does anyone know how I can recall the text
generated by a DOS command/program and display it in a text box, so the user
can view a log of my compiler executing without opening the DOS window.
currently, i use ShellExecute to run program from dos and I want to display the error message generated in my VB interface.Is it possible to do so? Thanx for de help.

i'm sorry, i not very clear with this code. i would like to run an exe program from VB, VB will call the DOs prompt to run it, then i want to capture the error message generated in the dos console.is it possible?

Yes,It can do that!U can put command button and a textbox on the form by their names are same as above code..The code will create a pipe with dos console and textbox,and get the dos console display content to textbox,put command that input the textbox to dos console...
