Tried to run my VB6 application on 2000 server (after having installed it), when trying to open a form that has a link to Access Db i get the following message:- "Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed", the form opens but no data is displayed.
Any ideas, what is missing???? ![]() Last edited by wakey_uk : October 16th, 2003 at 03:49 AM. |

Well, my first question would be - does the server have the same version of ADO on it that you are trying to use in your program? If so, is it in the same location on the server? Are you installing the program with Vis. Studio 6 Pack. & Deployment Wizard? If so, You might have to do some tweaking to your .lst file to make the program install to where you want it to... also, go back through the packaging process and ensure that it is picking up the msado.dll as a reference (I'm assuming that you're using ADO to connect)
