Form ceases to work when opened from switchboard

Hey folks.

I've encountered a strange problem. I just added a switchboard to an Access database, but now I find that when I open any of the forms from the switchborad, it ceases to operate properly. Namely, records do not get retrieved when I do a search. Is there something different about what procedures get called when opening from the switchborad, versus opening from the regular database window?

Never mind, I realised I had the forms opening in add mode rather than edit mode.
