Having problem with Installing VB program in W2k OS

Hi! I really am not good in VB but im trying my best at it. I am currently transfering an old program residing in windows ME to Win 2k. When i tried installing the program to Win 2k, the computer tells me that the system contains old files/components so i need to update...what i did is i updated the system, restarted it then tried installing it again. But same error shows when i proceed in my installation. Thats the first problem.
Second problem is, when i tried using the other OS-Windows ME, the program doesn't work properly...i tried to return the old components and it did work except for the printing/preview portion. The report figures and data wouldn't show. I did not change anything in the program. All i did is run "VBrun60" and "MDAC_TYP"...one thing i think i did wrong is i run this two in win 2k but i didnt notice that it is for win98 or whatever OS it is assigned. Is there any OLE/DLL or whatever component being used specifically for Data reports and Data environment?
Please help me...i just really want to return my old program to its normal condition and then migrate it to Win 2k.

Hi jennievie! You meet some trouble in the vb components or other components in the different OS.I think U can find whether you using the component(dll,ocx..)is support win2k.if don't support,U must upgrade or using other components..Can u list your using components's name and version??..It's helpful to find the wrong..

Probably the data access components need updating.

You can download mdac from www.microsoft.com/data
