Question Including Color Coding to Text Editor

I have been coding a text editor with minimalistic features and want to add color coding to it, the same ones in Notepad++ or other IDEs.

I have not been able to find a way to include this, so I really needed help to add this feature. Anyone?

As long as you are using a Rich Text Box, you can implement any formatting that you want to. For an example on how to implement URL hyperlinks see:

So you are saying that I can't implement color coding in a normal text box?

If that is so, would I be able to use the color code thing like the one in notepad++ or the other development IDEs?

#1: Yes, refer to the vb documentation for the control

#2: Probably no. You can use notepad++ to write your code if you wantm and with VB6 anyway I believe you could implement an external editor in the IDE.
