Smile Macro

This is a well simple question, but i'm a simple guy, so forgive me....

How do you automate a macro to run when you open up a excel spreadsheet????

The easiest way to do this, is to minimize the window, right click on it, and click on "view code". (You can also get there by double clicking "This workbook" in your VB editor)

You are then in the auto macro section

Then, just use the auto_open function to run your macro, e.g.
Code:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
   Module1.Macro1
End Sub

This will automatically run Macro1, which is stored in Module1.

Alternatively, you can just copy and past your code into the function.

Hope this makes sense, otherwise let me know, and I'll try to explain a bit better

It's a pleasure. I also forgot how to do this. When I needed it (about a week ago), I had to search throught the help files for half an hour before I stumbled on it (only by luck). I think your way of finding the answer was way better
